Never a dull moment at Brookeside!
We had such a blast with the pilgrims from Quiver Farms, who came to visit us and share the history of Thanksgiving. We not only learned about the history, but also the meaning behind the turkey. We played traditional pilgrim games, husked corn, muddled cranberries into a sauce, grounded corn into cornmeal, and pet a real turkey named Jack!
Our favorites: the turkey (of course!), crushing cranberries, wheat and corn with a mortar and pestle, learning about how people traded things instead of using money! Thank you to all families who participated in our fundraisers which help to pay for this and many other programs!

Enrollment is ongoing as space is available.
