Never underestimate the power of a good story!

Storytellers all over the world share their stories in the same ways!  They incorporate, rhythm, rhyme, and repetition to help the listener attend, predict, and participate!  They use actions, drawings, or even a device like knots on a counting rope to retell stories which are passed down using oral traditions.

Here are some memories  from our storytelling week.  As you can see we had fun making puppets and acting out stories.  Hands down our favorite game was pretending to ride the rollercoaster and then creating a  3-D paper art amusement park with three dimensionsal “rides”.
