The students and staff at Brookeside Montessori School honored Erika Hornburg on Monday, May 20.
Miss Erika has been the art teacher at Brookeside for 19 years and is retiring at the end of this school year.
Several students, staff, and former staff gave Miss Erika a gift certificate for a massage. Miss Erika was deeply touched and offered some parting words. She said, “I like children who are themselves. Be you! Always draw the pictures that are in your mind.” Best wishes Miss Erika. We will miss you!
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
