Brookeside Montessori H&S Association members participate in cooking lessons with Chef Nikki Miller.
Parents prepared and taste tested a mixed greens salad with lemon poppy seed dressing, turkey and roasted red pepper with spinach sandwich on wheat with basil sauce and a strawberry dessert bar. Meal was adapted for the lunch box and healthy substitutions on fat/sugar were discussed.
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
