PM Kindergarten January FebruaryIn Social Studies, we finished our exploration of Europe with discussion of Ireland, England, Italy and Spain. The children completed many projects, but their favorites included drawing themselves holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa and building a (not quite scale) model of Stonehenge. We then proceeded to Australia, learning about unusual animals and fossils.

In science, we have changed our focus to consider how and why we should keep our teeth clean. The students made a Tooth Fairly and wrote a description of her– look for these projects to come home soon. Next, we talked about what scientists think is inside the earth, exploring this idea with amazing volcano videos and projects. Finally, we switched to natural disasters, making earthquake cities with trays and wooden blocks.
