The students in the Kindergarten and Elementary class participated in activities to learn about the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah.
Mrs. Beth Ashcom showed the students her menorah and spoke the Hebrew language. She shared her family traditions for exchanging presents, and brought some yummy fried matzo for snack. The highlight of her visit was learning to play the dreidel game with Hanukkah gelt.
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
