The students in Grades K – 4 had their first field trip of the school year! They visited Frecon Orchards near Boyertown.
On our tour of the orchard, students learned the parts of an apple, how an apple tree grows, and how the tree produces fruit. It was such a fun day and the weather was perfect for walking through the orchard. At the end of the trip there was a snack of apple cider and donuts. Each child brought home a bag of apples that they carefully picked by hand!
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
