Children at Brookeside Montessori school participated in movement, critical thinking, and STEM activities with a holiday twist on our Fun Friday before a holiday break.
We donned our elf costumes including PJs, elf hats and elf ears to play elf games like load the sleigh, snow blowing, present conveyer, and the ELF ANTICS game using memory and movement to complete elf jobs during music time. We also did some round robin activities including bean bag toss, dreidel game, and decorating with fresh flowers. We completed a board game which is in use through January in our classroom. Our PM enrichment class participated in a lesson using convex and concave reflections using shiny Christmas tree balls and spoons. A fun and fascinating day was had by all!
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
Enrollment is ongoing as space is available.
