Families have been sharing photos of the work children are doing through our distance learning program.
Each week classroom teachers are providing learning resources, Montessori inspired activities, and traditional homework assignments. Throughout the day our classroom teachers are scheduling one on one time with students and lessons are given to small groups of students.
Our distance learning program also includes art, wellness, music, STEM and Spanish virtually. Children are encouraged to create and share. Classroom teachers are also scheduling social times. Our elementary students have a weekly meeting to snack and chat!
What makes Brookeside Montessori special is the community. We have an active Home and School Association that supports the school. We have continued monthly meetings virtually. Current parents are encouraged to attend our weekly virtual meetings. We have also added events for families to attend virtually. We had a magic show and family yoga class.
