This Week’s Healthy Snack from Bause Catered Events is Cauliflower!

You can eat cauliflower raw, add it to salads, or make a healthier version of “mashed potatoes” with it.  Roast cauliflower with olive oil and fresh herbs and serve it as a side dish.  Add cauliflower to soup or stir-fry, use in a burrito in place of rice, or simply serve with a dip.

Colored cauliflower (yellow and purple) holds the same firmness and texture as its white counterpart, with subtle differences in taste.  Cauliflower is part of the cabbage family.  One half cup of cauliflower has 14 calories.  It is high in fiber, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B6.  It is very low in fat.
