Our camper's learned about European artist Henri Matisse! Students listened to the stories Henri’s Scissors and Matisse’s Garden ahead of our lesson to learn more about the life and work of Matisse. Mrs. Yoder, our art teacher, was so impressed with how our camper's interpreted the lesson and created their own bold, unique, colorful collages!
Geography, map skills, and problem-solving activities were the focus of the first week of camp. Campers learned about time zones, climate, and geographical features. On Friday, June 7 we had a visit from Allison of Party Animals Express.
Spring is right around the corner and registration for 2019 Summer Camp is now open. Miss Poley, Mrs. Marks, and Mrs. Yoder will be our camp counselors and our theme is Passport to Adventure. Join us for nine exciting weeks of activities highlighting our wonderful world! Crafts, games, songs, water play, cooking, field trips, guest speakers, and much more will engage each child at their own age level. Counselors are certified teachers.
Our last week of time traveling for Summer Camp 2018 was a rockin’ good time! Campers learned about the 1950’s through music and art. Some favorite activities of the week were having a sock hop, watching dancers on American Bandstand, creating t-shirts in the style of Jackson Pollock, and swimming at the Bally Pool.
Hello, time travelers! During our Colonial Times week campers enjoyed making butter with a special guest. The highlight of the week was a field trip to Pottsgrove Manor, a home built in 1752.
