Together We Laugh, Learn & Grow!

This week in Miss Poley's Pre-K class at Brookside Montessori School, we made sunflowers out of paper plates, bubble wrap, construction paper, and paint. We learned about the life cycle of a sunflower, parts of the flower and read a story about how to grow sunflowers in our garden. As a culminating activity, we acted as scientists and dissected a real sunflower!

Dog & Cat Treat SPCA Fundraiser

The Brookeside Montessori School Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten class made and sold dog treats as a fundraiser for the SPCA of Montgomery County. We took the money and bought dog, cat, hamster, guinea pig, rabbit, and ferret food and delivered it to the animals in the shelter at the SPCA of Montgomery County.
