KooKoo the Magician visited the students at Brookeside Montessori School on March 1. Students in Pre-School through Grade 6 were amazed by KooKoo's magic and loved being able to be active participants in the show.
Spring is right around the corner and we are busy making plans for our funtastic summer camp. Mrs. Marks and Ms. Davis will be our camp counselors and are working hard to plan fun activities for our summer camp. This year's theme will be "Time Travelers". Camp will feature nine exciting weeks of activities highlighting fun summertime themes. Crafts, games, songs, water play, cooking, field trips, guest speakers, and much more will engage each child at their own age level.
Not only did the man in red visit at Brookeside Preschool, he shared his faves--chocolate chip cookies with carrots for the reindeer--and he asked each one of us specific details from our letters to him! We each got a smile, a ho (or three) and a candy cane! He even read us a story!
The students and staff enjoyed our annual pajama and pancake day on December 13. This year was extra special. Santa Claus heard about our fun day and stopped by for a visit. The students in the Kindergarten and Elementary class participated in activities to learn about the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah. The highlight of her visit was learning to play the dreidel game with Hanukkah gelt.
