Elementary is beginning to wrap up a unit on plant cells! We have worked very hard and wanted to bring our skills into the kitchen by making plant cell pizzas. We made two pizzas, one with tomato sauce and one with pesto sauce. This classroom of scientists took turns identifying parts, placing the edible version on the crust, and then labeling on a poster chart for comparison.
Recently students at Brookeside Montessori prepared healthy snacks. The afternoon enrichment class created a vegetable train. The tomatoes were grown in our school garden! Students in grades K-4 prepared a fruit salsa.
Fish Field-In at Brookeside Montessori Preschool. Our special activity for September was a visit from the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy. The Field-In included: books, crafts, games, snacks and other learning activities which were fishing themed! Thanks to PWC, Mrs. Rachel Yoder and Miss Brianna Poley for making the day a success!

Our last week of time traveling for Summer Camp 2018 was a rockin’ good time! Campers learned about the 1950’s through music and art. Some favorite activities of the week were having a sock hop, watching dancers on American Bandstand, creating t-shirts in the style of Jackson Pollock, and swimming at the Bally Pool.
