Children at Brookeside Montessori school participated in movement, critical thinking, and STEM activities with a holiday twist on our Fun Friday before a holiday break. We donned our elf costumes including PJs, elf hats and elf ears to play elf games. A fun and fascinating day was had by all!
Debi Wahl Of Act I Productions recently appeared at Brookeside Montessori School—in character as Mrs. Claus! She rode in on her sleigh to check up on the students at Brookeside Montessori with Santa’s nice list in hand. She told us the story of The Night Before Christmas and led a round of Christmas carols.
Last month a pilgrim and a live turkey came to Brookeside Montessori School! Our pilgrim visitor showed our curious students the foods the pilgrims would have eaten and the tools they would have used. After the presentation, each class had an opportunity to use these items and pet a live turkey! This program from Quiver Farms is an annual tradition at Brookeside Montessori.
