Last spring the students at Brookeside Montessori planted a garden. The Elementary students chose to plant a pumpkin patch. Recently, they harvested a crop of nearly twenty pumpkins. A few pumpkins are used for seasonal decorations. However, the class is most excited to use the pumpkins to make breads and pies for a harvest feast later this season.
