Celebrating the International Day of Peace at Brookeside
Last week students and teachers marked the International Day of Peace with many different activities. Mrs. Messinger led a discussion and creative writing activity about peace during wellness classes. The students learned that a dove is a symbol of peace and were given origami doves. At 10:00 AM all the classes joined together in singing “Light a Candle for Peace”. The Elementary class created a poster with one of Dr. Montessori’s quotes about peace.

Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
