Mrs. Nanzala Haque visited afternoon kindergarten on Friday, April 10. A native of Bangladesh, Mrs. Haque showed the children photographs and handicrafts, including handmade fans and a one string guitar. She also shared a homemade meal of Bangladeshi foods and sweets. The children agreed that their favorite food was steamed basmati rice. To thank Mrs. Haque, the children sang a song of greeting, using the Bangla word for “friend.”
