Can you guess what sneaky, slithering creature we learned about that week? Snakes!
Last week on our Passport to Adventure camp we journeyed to South America, and we could not travel to South America and the Amazon Rainforest without putting a spotlight on snakes!
We had a wonderful visit from the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy. We talked all about different kinds of snakes, their habitat, special traits survival techniques, and more! Did you know that there are over 3,000 different types of snakes and they can have between 200 and 400 bones?! We also enjoyed stories, games, photos, models, and observed a snake skin and skeleton. In these photos, you can see some campers were brave enough to touch them! We sure had a busy morning and learned a lot.
Thank you to our friends at the Watershed, who always deliver a fun and informational presentation!
