Congratulations to Mrs. Marks, our Pre-School and Enrichment teacher, on her efforts to secure a $500 grant from the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization and Tractor Supply Company! As a grant recipient, Brookeside Montessori is paired with the Tractor Supply Store in Quakertown and we’ll be working closely with them in the springtime when it’s time to get our school garden started.
We will receive a $500 Tractor Supply Store gift card which we will use to buy our gardening supplies and plants, a school garden curriculum for the entire school to use, and kid-sized garden tools, too. Our students will complete and pre- and post- gardening survey to track their progress. Finally, we will participate with Tractor Supply Store in Quakertown for a garden celebration in May!
Brookeside’s child-centered educational environment provides activities and a Pennsylvania state approved curriculum appropriate to each child’s developmental stage. The integrated curricula are guided by a highly trained staff, who are aware of the needs of the individual child.
