Recently the Elementary students concluded a unit of study in science on Energy and Conservation.
The students learned about current electricity by building a simple circuit. Students knew they were successful when the light bulb lit up.
Another activity in the classroom had students figuring out how many kilowatt hours major appliances in their house use. Then they calculated the approximate cost per month. This opened up discussion for conserving energy and costs.
In addition to the academics, learning opportunities about other cultures and celebrations is part of the curriculum at Brookeside Montessori. We are now taking enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year. Join us for the next celebration!
