After reading the book, Cat in the Hat, students made Cat in the Hat hats.  We enjoyed a snack of strawberries and bananas.  The students cut, and stacked the fruit to make it look like a Cat in the Hat hat.  The students completed a STEM project to stack red plastic cups and paper to see how high they could make a Cat in the Hat tower.  We enjoyed playing Book bingo and we all got to take home a book of our own!!

We read If I Ran the Zoo and the students completed a STEM project where we used zoo animals and a variety of materials to make a bridge across a river.  The students placed their zoo animal on top of their bridge, if it could hold the weight of the animal, the bridge was a success!!!  If the bridge collapsed, the students had an opportunity to try rebuilding a different bridge.

We read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and had a special treat.  The students put fish (Swedish fish) in the water(blue jell-o).  The students had fun and enjoyed listening to stories by Dr. Seuss.
