What is one way students at Brookeside Montessori get to practice scientific thinking and problem-solving? Brookeside Montessori's Annual Science Fair! The students worked on their project for several weeks using the scientific method of question, research, hypothesis, experimentation, and drawing a conclusion. At the science fair students shared their projects with the school community, practicing public speaking skills.
We are pleased to announce that we have received a Matching Gift from one of our families to continue our technology campaign! For every gift made to our campaign, this family will match every dollar up to $500 for a total of $1000 in combined gifts. With this $1000, we will be reach our goal of $3000. The match will take place for all gifts made between now and April 1.
Who wears silly socks? WE WEAR SILLY SOCKS! Brookeside Montessori students and staff participated in silly socks day on January 23, 2015. Thanks to everyone who participated in our Brookeside School Spirit Day!
Brookeside Montessori Preschool & Afternoon Enrichment classes have been exploring land, air and water through science activities. Some of our favorite activities included the habitat song, dissolving solids into liquids, and using whisks to create bubbles and foam with soap. Language extensions about snow and ice and geography lessons about polar regions were also enjoyed.
Students and their families of Brookeside Montessori School met at a local development of homes and went door to door Christmas caroling! We ended the evening with treats prepared by our families and cocoa prepared and beautifully served by our friends the Miller family.
