Seeking South America – Summer Camp Week 3

Can you guess what sneaky, slithering creature we learned about that week? Snakes! Last week on our Passport to Adventure camp we journeyed to South America, and we could not travel to South America and the Amazon Rainforest without putting a spotlight on snakes! We had a wonderful visit from the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy.

Whirlwind Tour of Europe – Summer Camp Week 2

Our camper's learned about European artist Henri Matisse! Students listened to the stories Henri’s Scissors and Matisse’s Garden ahead of our lesson to learn more about the life and work of Matisse. Mrs. Yoder, our art teacher, was so impressed with how our camper's interpreted the lesson and created their own bold, unique, colorful collages!

The Amazing Work of Earthworms

Last month the Afternoon Enrichment class studied earthworms. Worms are great composters and enrich the soil in our school garden. Mrs. Marks and the students observed the worms in their classroom. They students watched closely to see how the worms move their bodies. Then the students completed diagrams that show the parts of a worm.
