Welcome, time travelers! Recently our campers traveled back in time to Ancient Greece. The children created created Grecian urns, enjoyed stories of mythological characters and creatures, and dressed in Ancient Greek costumes.
Brookeside campers this week continued our Time Travelers theme by exploring the time of Pharaohs and Pyramids. A few of the activities this week were making a sistrum, wearing costumes, and collaborating on a mural.
International Festival 2018. What is one way students at Brookeside Montessori learn about respect for other cultures? It’s Brookeside Montessori’s Annual International Festival! The students worked on their projects for several weeks. Each child presented a poster showing photos and details of a country of their choosing.
Pre-Kindergarten students at Brookeside Montessori made and sold nutritious dog and cat treats to benefit the Montgomery County SPCA in Perkiomenville. Students raised $114.00 for the shelter pets. Gussie, a shelter pet adopted by a Brookeside family, joins the children for a photo op!
Brookeside Montessori School promotes fun and fitness with our annual Field Day! Students, families and teachers participated in our 20th annual Field Day on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Mrs. White and Mrs. Whitehouse planned the day. Some events included parachute games, frisbee tic-tac-toe, water relay, an obstacle course, and sack races.
