National School Choice Week 2020 is January 26 - February 1. This is an annual event shining a spotlight on effective education options for children. Participants in National School Choice Week believe that parents should have the right to choose the best educational environment for their children.
Ever since we returned from the Thanksgiving Holiday, we have been receiving boxes from Amazon on a daily basis! In this very busy season, we are deeply touched that so many families have taken the time to show their love and support for our school. The Staff and Board of Brookeside Montessori, would like to take this opportunity to wish each of you a very happy holiday season and may the new year bring you many blessings.
We're celebrating the holiday in our classrooms! The week before Thanksgiving each class held a feast. This annual tradition features students dressed in costumes, sharing songs and poems, and of course delicious food. Teachers and parents combined their skills to create a beautiful and meal.
Classes from Brookeside Montessori went on field trips to Savidge Farms and Wilcox Farms to celebrate the season. Students and chaperones participated in fun autumn activities like riding a hay wagon, choosing a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and navigating a corn maze. Fun for All!
The Brookeside Montessori Home and School Association created a float for the Bally Lions Club's Halloween Parade. Our theme this year was "Nurturing Growing Minds." We won third place in the judges choice category!
