Recently, the students at Brookeside Montessori learned about Pysanky, or Ukrainian Easter eggs. Angela Rosoha, a local artist, visitied the school and shared the history of this art. Mrs. Marks's Preschool has been hosting some pet visitors, Coconut and Steve, guinea pigs who belong to our students Seth and Abby Gerdeman. We learned about mammals, pet care and listened to the animals heartbeats with a stethoscope. We also drew diagrams with labels of the parts of the guinea pig.

Mrs. Marks’ students recently worked on a special knitting project. The children helped to complete a row on either the mittens or the scarf. We were able to complete two sets each of hat, mittens and scarf which will be donated to Opportunity House charity.
