National School Choice Week, held this year from January 21-27, 2018. This is an annual event shining a spotlight on effective education options for every child. Participants in national School Choice Week believe that parents should have the right to choose the best educational environment for their children.
Students and teachers at Brookeside Montessori School combined their craft skills and creativity to create this collaborative project. The wreath is on display at Glick's Greenhouse near Oley and we're happy to report that we won third place for creativity!
PM Kindergarten students studied the Skeletal System in science. They learned five major bones: the skull, humerus, ribs, pelvis and femur. Students learned some songs that correlated with the Skeletal System such as “Heads, Shoulders Knees and Toes” but using the bones that we learned “Skull, Humerus, Pelvis, Femur.”
The Pilgrims Say "Thanks!" We had a fun day on Thursday, November 16th, celebrating our annual Thanksgiving Feast. Students from Brookeside Montessori are pictured dressing in Pilgrim costumes, saying their Thanksgiving rhyme--"The bread is fresh, the water is clear, thank you all for being here! Happy Thanksgiving!".
